Random thoughts-

Hello again,

I am back to share a few thoughts and tidbits of humor. It has been a minty-eye kind of day for me. Thought I would share a couple of adventures with you. As many of you know, I only sleep about 4 hours a night and I am good with that, but this morning was a real eye-opener and stinger for me.

I got up and poured my first cup of coffee and sat down to put my eye drops in....mistake...big one. I put mint breath drops in my right eye. Talk about a wake up call. I will say this much...my eye was cool and clear. That will NOT happen again. Carelessness on my part.

I have to tell you about something I did the other day. Now you know that I have thought sour cream was a napkin and I have mistaken a can of whole white potatoes for a can of pears in heavy syrup. For those of you who do not know, I am a media consultant and layout advertisements. Normally the only challenge is my artistic ability - but I carefully laid the ad out, colored it in with the colors I wanted and when I was done I went to pick up the paper to scan it to my graphics department. I was not able to though because I had drawn in out and colored it right on my desk...which is also white. For a couple of minutes frustration set in. I took a picture of the drawing and sent it to my graphics department. So I had to scrub my desk...not really a big deal in the scheme of things. Not necessarily funny at the moment but very funny to me now.

What is the point of this? My point is simple - we all have some bad or embarrassing moments in our lives and it is good to learn to laugh about them.
I do all kinds of crazy things-I just rarely get caught in action. It is even more funny when I do.

I started writing again about 4 months ago and I have met some amazing and talented folks along the journey.

Today, I want to tell you about one of them his name is Jack Tomkovick.
Here is one of my all time favorite pens.

The Shipwright

With wonder
and surprise
I realize
that
God builds
double-hulled
souls
and while you
tore gaping wholes
in the outer
the inner remains
intact
untouched
inviolate
much to my
wonder
and
surprise.
